PetroVietnam Engineering signed Front End Engineering Design
On 9/5, PetroVietnam Engineering signed Front End Engineering Design (FEED) with its partner WorleyParsons Limited and made General Cost Estimate of Lot B - O Mon Pipeline with the personal proprietor of Southwest Pipeline Operating Company (SWPOC).
Sigining Ceremony on 9/5
The ceremony welcome the attendance of Mr. Do Khang Ninh - General Director of SWPOC, Mr. Do Van Thanh - General Director of PVE and Mr Chia Hong Kiat - Director of WorleyParsons Limited.
Lot B - O Mon Pipeline Project has the length of 430 kilometres including 330 kilometres of undersea pipeline and 100 kilometres of on-shore pipelines. Consequently, the total scope of the design work of the project includes the design work of maritime pipeline from Lot B CPP to the shore in An Minh (Kien Giang); Brand Pipeline from KP209 to Mui Tram (Ca Mau); two LFS in An Minh and Mui Tram; on-shore pipe from An Minh to KIen Giang Power Plant and O Mon Electricity Centre; Kien Giang Gas Distribution Station; O Mon Gas Distribution Station; Blowdown Valve Stations; changing and upgrading Mui Tram LFS to provide Lot B gas source to current PM3 Gas source, the project will provide the source for Kien Giang Power Plant 1, 2 and O Mon Power Plant 1,2, 4 with the capacity around 20,3 million m3/day and 18,3 million m3/day for O MOn GDC Station and on-shore pipeline.
Mr. Do Van Thanh - General Director of PVE speaking at the ceremony

It is estimated that the design work will complete after 5 months from the signing ceremony. Therefore, the work is rather urgent, especially with the project which is considered as the most complicated and difficult project of the Corporation.
In detail, the gas exploited with high corrosive impurities of up to 21% requires complicated extracting process. 100km Pipeline goes over many kinds of locations such as canals, roads, civil works so it requires high safety techniques and the Corporation needs to work with local offices. The project also requires a lot of labor force with experience in project management, technology, Control, Safety - Anticorrosion, Mechanical Engineering, Electricity,...
It is estimated that the project will complete after 5 months from the signing ceremony
However, with the experience as a contractor of FEED/ Detailed Design of Nam Con Son 2 Pipeloine which were considered as one of the most complicated, PVE is confident that the engineer design consultants are able to complete the project or even more complicated ones.
In addition, the staff of PVE also continue to grow up from the experience in organization, teamwork with foreign partners which will contribute to the success of the Corporation in the field of Design Consulting.
