PV ENGINEERING SUCESSFULLY ORGANIZED THE LABOUR UNION GENERAL MEETING, TERM 2012 - 2015
On December 08th, 2012, the Labour Union of PV Engineering held the 2nd Labour Union General Meeting, Term 2012 – 2015.
The meeting welcomed the distinguished guests as Mr. Ha Duy Dinh – Chairman of the Labour Union of PVN, Vice Chairpersons as Mrs. Nghiem Thuy Lan, Mr. Tran Ngoc Dung and Mr. Nguyen Manh Kha. PV Engineering’s leaders as Mr. Do Van Thanh – Secretary of Communist Party’s Committee cum General Director, Mr. Le Huu Bon – Chairman of Board of Administration, Mr. Pham Thanh Minh – Chairman of the Labour Union, together with over 100 representatives for 700 employees of the Labour Union of PV Engineering also presented at the meeting.

The Executive Committee of the Labour Union of PV Engineering, the 1st term (2010 – 2012) went on with reports and speeches of representatives of local unions, unions of direct units, and with opinions from other representatives.
Mr. Pham Thanh Minh – Vice General Director, Chairman of the Labour Union of PV Engineering, is presenting his report.
Delivering his report in the meeting, Chairman of the Labour Union, Mr. Pham Thanh Minh confirmed that during the 1st term (2008 – 2012), the Labour Union of PV Engineering has achieved encouraging results, and performed well 3 functions as protecting the rights of employees, participating in the administrative activities and performing the training and propaganda duties.
In terms of revenue, PV Engineering has achieved the very sustainable growth at 20 – 30% every year. The outcome of business and production activities of PV Engineering in the period 2010 – 2012 is also very positive with the typical example of 2011 when PV Engineering had achieved the total revenue at over 685 billions VND, and the interest over 77.7 billions VND. In 2012, even though the business and production results have slightly declined due to the recessed economy of Vietnam, PV Engineering has expected to achieve the total revenue at over 100% of the plan.

According to Mr. Pham Thanh Minh, together with the continuous development and effort to perfect its services, PV Engineering’s employees as well as the Labour Union’s members have proved their determination on achieving the targets, and performing duties in the strategy and the orientation of PV Engineering. The technical level, the qualifications and skills of the employees have always been reinforced and enhanced accordingly.
The meeting has also received the orientation from the leaders of Communist Party’s Committee, from Board of Directors of PV Engineering and from leaders of the Labour Union of PVN.
The Secretary of the Communist Party’s Committee, General Director – Mr. Do Van Thanh insisted on the major responsibilities in the coming term (2012 – 2017) which the Labour Union of PV Engineering has to perform. Those major responsibilities include promoting the role of being the representative for the union in the management and protection of rights for employees; pushing the propaganda activities, the ideological, political and legal training for employees; coordinating with leaders of PV Engineering and the Youth Union in order to orientate member units to organize comprehensive competitions to strive for accomplishment of the political duty, the production and business plans of PV Engineering to put PV Engineering in the new growing level with sustainable development; participating actively in the formation and protection of the Communist Party; accelerating social security and charitable activities, etc.

Speaking in the meeting, Mr. Ha Duy Dinh, Chairman of the Labour Union of PVN highly appreciated the recent production and business activities of PV Engineering, which represented the remarkable and multi-faceted development in technology, capability and human resources in the oil and gas design engineering area. Mr. Ha Duy Dinh also appraised the achievements that PV Engineering’s team had achieved in the recent years, contributing to the general success of the people of the oil and gas industry.

Mr. Ha Duy Dinh strongly believed the Labour Union of PV Engineering in the coming term will be more successful, and is deserved to be the mental support and inspiration for the employees to keep on striving for the sustainable development of PV Engineering and for the strong growth of the labour union organization.
During the meeting, the Labour Union of PVN presented the competitive flag to the Labour Union of PV Engineering term 2010 – 2012, and also presented Certificates of Merit to one team and four individuals from PV Engineering.

The Executive Committee of the Labour Union of PV Engineering for the 2nd term (2012 – 2015) was voted and formed in the meeting. The meeting also pointed out 3 comrades who are eligible to participate in the general meeting of the Labour Union of PVN, Term V.
